Barefoot Calcium and to much LEAD
July 8, 2003

1/12/03
The FDA quarantined "Barefoot's Coral Calcium Supreme" inventory for evaluation of lead content.

6/9/03
The FTC filed suit against the marketers of Coral Calcium Supreme with making false and unsubstantiated claims. The FTC's lawsuit names both Kevin Trudeau and Bob Barefoot (and their related business entities)in the charge.

6/10/03
Consumer Labs released a study on 15 calcium and coral calcium supplements. One marine (below sea source) coral calcium product, "Barefoot's Coral Calcium Supreme" failed the lead safety test, registering a greater than 1.5 micrograms per gram of calcium. This violates prop. 65 in California for safe lead levels in supplements.

If you have hepatitis c and are taking Barefoot's Coral Calcium Supreme, throw it away!
