Hi Lloyd,
NW. from Tucson here. Haven't written at all since we
spoke on the phone after my nasty computer sent you a
virus. My system is clean now and monitored very closely.
I don't know if you remember me but I'm the one who called
your name shortly after my surgery in 2001 to please help
me.
Actually, it doesn't matter if you remember me specifically.
I do have news that I hope you will be able to post on
your site.
I'm an old drug addict hippie. I stopped shooting crap
into my veins over 30 years ago. In April, 2000. I was
diagnosed with HCV. Back when I first got it in the late
60's the only name they had for it was non A or B type
hepatitis.
After my 2000 diagnosis, I got on the computer and researched
and researched, and finally found you.
Without going into all
the details of the last almost 3 years again, I have an
announcement to make. Even with stage 2 cirhossis, on
December 03, 2002, I RETURNED
TO WORK.
You gave me hope
Your recommendations got me well enough to return to
work.
To me it is also important to let people know this: financially,
I was not able to purchase all the herbs and supplements
that you recommended. If I could have afforded more I'm
sure that I would have been back at work a lot sooner.
I have been taking milk thistle, dandelion root, selenium,
alpha lipoic acid and vitamin C.
I was worried that because I could not afford more that
I might not be helped at all, but I have been.
I have even been doing some gardening, several days in
a row to boot. I take a lot of breaks but I'm doing it.
Also, please let "Lost In Maine", Cheri, know
that she is not lost anymore. First you give hope and
then you tell us how to help ourselves. And, I know from
personal experience that you are here for us. Please feel
free to forward today's emails to her and also please
give her my email address if she would like it. She really
does sound lost and alone. I know that since she contacted
you she will never be alone again with this disease, and
if she needs an email buddy I'm here.
Well, that's about it for today. Please feel free to
post any or all of this email on your site. Good news
needs to be shared with all of us.
God bless,
NW
