Senate Bill 519 passed today!

The Senate and House passed
the Maryland Hepatitis C Advisory Council Bill!
The Governor will be signing this legislation into law!

The particulars of when the first organizational meeting will occur or selection of the task force members has not yet been discussed, but I wanted you guys to be the first to know that the bill passed. The House bill (Shirley's bill) will also likely pass (same language).

The bill after many years establishes the Advisory Council on Hepatitis C the board will be in effect for 2 years by law with an extension of longer time being a viable option!
