Siren To Wail, Inc. is dedicated to raising public awareness,
education and prevention of the Hepatitis C Virus.
Siren To Wail is now planning it's third annual Hepatitis
C Benefit Concert titled "Once In A Blue Moon"
to be held on Friday, November 22, 2002 at Generations Hall.
Our All Star Concerts help to spread awareness and support
our efforts in addressing the problems of people recently
diagnosed or living with Hepatitis C in the state of Louisiana.
These events help us to raise funds for our awareness programs
and to maintain our call center.
Siren to Wail provides peer counseling and deploys educational
material to those newly diagnosed and/or living with Hepatitis
C. STW offers social services for those seeking help filling
out medical forms, applying for financial aid and in need
of clinical placement. We provide support groups, free/low
cost testing, client counseling and referrals to doctors
at no cost to our clients.
This fall Siren To Wail will launch a series of private
and community based programs designed to make young people
aware of HCV, HIV and substance abuse prevention in our
schools and churches. Sally Ann Roberts, anchor Woman for
WWL TV morning news, is helping us to achieve this goal.
One of our other goals is to open a Hepatitis C clinic where
Hepatitis patients can get all of their needs met in one
place in an expedient way.
This
year's concert will be broadcast
live over the Internet worldwide
by WWOZ 90.7 FM New Orleans.
We are hoping to reach millions of people with our message.
Check our website... http://www.sirentowail.org
for frequent updates
on our programs, and a reference site for Hepatitis C information.
Last
year's concert was a big success tripling the attendance
of our first event. These events help us to raise funds
for our awareness programs and to maintain our call center.
Any assistance you might care to offer would be truly appreciated,
and a tax-deductible donation. Thank you for considering
us.
