We haven't forgotten about you, if fact we think of you often.
And praise God for you in our prayers.
James has been on you program for the past two years. We were one
of the unfortunate ones that got the Hep A vaccine. Not your fault,
our stupidity This slowed down James progress quite a lot.
He found out in January 2002 that he had Hep C. viral load 21 million
900 thousand Ast292 and Alt 497 well above normal.
His gastro guy said he had to have a liver biopsy, so he had a
ultra sound and still they wanted him to has a biopsy, which we
don't recommend to anyone. The biopsy report was, moderate portal
inflammation with mild lymphocytic piecemeal increased and lobular
inflammation, and mild fatty change. Fibrous tissue is markedly
increased, and there is architectural distortion and nodular formation
consistent with cirrhosis.( Chronic Hepatitis, grade 1, stage 4.)
Because of inflamed portal valve, gastor guy agreed to no interferon,
Praise God! So he didn't have to take that.
He started your full program in May of 2002 and in three
months he dropped from almost 22 million to 2 million Ast, Alt normal.
In six months dropped to 191 thousand Ast, Alt normal.
Then the unthinkable, the doctor
gave him a Hep A, flu and pneumonia vaccines. In
two months time he was a sick as when he started your program. His
viral load jumped to 12 million 900 thousand. And it stayed there
for 11 months. He stayed on your program and it has started to drop,
but very slowly compared to the first time. We didn't see much of
a drop until late in 2003.
But his last tests, last week were a lot better. The viral
load was 1 million 290 thousand. Ast, Alt normal. His ferritin level
was normal.
Lloyd, you have all his blood work except for the last couple,
which I will be faxing you soon. We will keep you informed.
